Habits

Habits can be good or bad, having the habit of turning up early for appointments isn't a bad thing but continually being tardy and turning up late is not so good. There are many habits such as nail biting, hair twirling, tardiness, lack of sleep, binge drinking, snacking when not hungry,  smoking, skipping breakfast, junk food, ignoring sex, eating fast, procrastination, hair pulling (trichotillomania), skin picking and teeth grinding.

Continually repeating an action serves to reinforce the behaviour, a habit is formed or broken after repetition for 21 days. The subconscious mind controls our behaviours and habits, we don't consciously think about breathing or keeping our heart beating, similarly when a habit is formed we are not always consciously aware of it.

When in the hypnotic trance the hypnotherapist talks directly to the subconscious mind and by using the power of suggestion can replace the bad habit with a new healthier more productive habit. Hypnosis helps you to break the cycle of stress and anxiety which often cause bad habits to form, so that not only will you finish your treatment habit free, you will also feel generally calmer and more relaxed.
